特任講師観察記断章。ChatGPTが凄いという話をNew York TimesやVoxのポッドキャストで聞いて、今日、学生の前で実演してみせたのだけれど、想像の何倍も凄かった。
簡単な指令を出すだけで、平均点のエッセイを即座に生成してくれる。
AIがここまできた以上、英語で小論文を書かせるという課題をいままでのかたちで出すわけにはいかなくなったのではないか。そして、自動翻訳の進歩を合わせて考えると、これは日本語での教育にもすぐさま跳ね返ってくる問題だろう。

しかし、いままでは、自分で検索ワードを探し、玉石混交の情報を選り分け、それを自力で咀嚼しなければならなかった。これからは、そのような処理をAIにまかせられるようになるのかもしれない。
わたしたちひとりひとりが、個人秘書のようなものを持てる時代が、すぐ先に来ているのかもしれない。
