a very strange polyglot life

This is certainly a very strange life: I write in Japanese and English, read English and French texts, and speak English to American students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I switch from one language to another seamlessly, and I often wonder if I think in English or Japanese, even when I write Japanese sentences. Indeed I have a big suspicion whether or not I'm only translating from English when I write in Japanese. Probably I do not think in English. Nor do I render English sentences into Japanese, maybe. But I'm finding that my Japanese unconsciously replicates the English logic. I really don't know which languages I'm usin
